Going thru my pictures I found this flower card that I made a while ago. I found the instructions to create the flower on the inside on a blog, but I can’t remember where. So my credits for this go to the unknown crafter…
I used a dark colored cardstock as my card base, cutting of about ¾” from the front side. I stamped a border image with watermark ink on the inside of the card (the area that will show once you close the card, where the ¾” cut off piece used to be). I embossed it with some lavender colored powder and enhanced with some small pearls. The front was decorated with a piece of the design paper and matching cardstock. The butterflies are stamped on white cardstock and cut out. Pearls are been used to create the body of the butterfly and glitter glue makes the wings edges sparkle. Too get the two tone color on the butterfly, ink up your image with the lighter color. Then use a sponge dobber with a darker color and work desired areas on the stamp. Before stamping, huff on the stamp to make sure the ink is still moist. Blend your colors on the stamp well. I attached the butterflies just along the body part with some glue.
And now the surprise part, the magic flower inside the card. For the flower, you need 7 scalloped circles (ca. 2"), glue dots, scissors and some branches for decoration. I will show the techniques on how to assemble the flower here in a few days, so stay tuned….
A white piece of copy paper is used for the inside of the card and this project is done. Have Fun !
